Road Trip Day 1 and 2

We left Friday May, 29th. We drove through Wyoming and had to stop at the Little America for 50 cent Ice Cream cones. We stopped in Cheyenne and stayed at FE Warren AFB. We stayed at 3 bases along the way because its just like any other hotel and their really inexpensive, so thats a plus of course. This was a neat base because they still have all of the old historic buildings. We had a little bit of excitment when we got evacuated from our room at 10pm becuase of a bomb threat. So we got to stand outside for a half hour. It was interesting to say the least. When we checked in they told us that all they had available was a three bedroom. So we stayed in a room that was probably literally the size of what our house in Texas will be.


Saturday we drove through Nebraska and stopped at the big Cabella's in Sidney. It really wasn't as huge as I had heard it to be hyped up as. But it was still a nice stop. They have a giant elephant inside, so I had to get a picture.


Saturday we stayed Offutt AFB, near Omaha, NE. We really liked this base and wouldn't mind being stationed there someday. The surrounding areas were really nice, which as I've learned, you can't say about all bases.
