The End of the Tower Era.

So about 2 month ago (yes, very behind I know) my parents had the tower in our backyard taken down. My brother built this Ham Radio Tower about 12 years ago. He built over the summer and it stretched across our whole yard. I think it was about 150 feet tall. Well since it gets no use and is just an odd thing, they decided it was time to go.
They had a crane come in and hold it in place while they loosened the wires holding it in place from our roof and the big cement blocks the field.
Here is the Peanut Gallery. It was quite the event to watch!

They cut it away from the cement pad it was on and lifted it over the fence,

and layed it on the ground. It was crazy to see this giant thing floating in the air.

This was on the top of the tower. You can see how big it was.

These big cement things were buried in the field behind our house. They were holding in place from tipping over on our house. ;) They were pretty massive too.
Then when they had every thing pulled up and on the ground, they cut the tower into 3 big pieces and put in on the truck.

This is the finished product.

These are pretty random pictures, I know, but it was pretty interesting to watch.

Prayers for Sherri and Baby Dylan

So i basically copied this from Heidi's blog but she knew more info than me.

My sister-in-law Sherri delivered her baby this morning (6-23-08) 7 weeks early in a very unusual way.....needless to say Sherri will be released from the hospital this afternoon and the baby has been life flighted to Loma Linda in southern california. They have decided to name him Dylan Teancum....he is very well developed except for his lungs. At this time he can not breathe on his own and will most likely be in the hospital for more than a month. Please send prayers her way.....Thanks
